Map: Grenada (Xuul) vs Muscovy (Scum)
I chose to call the game a DRAW at the end of turn 42 when Scum had failed to return after getting disconnected at the end of turn 39.
Breakdown of the game is as follows.
Turn 14: Scum and Xuul both have 15 lands but Scum is ahead by 10 points for overall score. Xuul took a key fort in Helvetica this turn and another key fort in Venetia in turn 15.
Turn 20: Scum 20 lands, 969 score. Xuul 26 lands, 1135 score. The key forts and fast advance of one of Xuuls lands near his cap allowed him to keep pushing forward while Scum chose to focus on the middle where Helv and Venetia were gaining strength.
Turn 25: Scum 23 lands, 1310 score. Xuul 29 lands 1491 score. A lot of back and forth with the score. Tied then one would jump ahead by 100 points then tied the next round.
Turn 31: Scum 27 lands 1829 score, Xuul 27 lands, 1824 score. More gold with Scum here but more armies held by Xuul. Scum manages to take Helvetica as well but loses it back to Xuul in turn 32.
Turn 35: Scum 30 lands, 2192 score. Xuul 30 lands, 2163 score. A lot of back and forth still. Big fighting on all fronts.
Turn 40: Scum 30 lands, 2584 score. Xuul 34 lands, 2594 score. Scum is disconnected from the game at the end of turn 39 after getting their orders in. Xuul did not attack or make any moves in this period regardless of the AI making massive armies.
Turn 42: At the end of turn 42 I speak to Xuul and call the game a draw and suggest a rematch. It was an excellent game that could have gone either way. Despite Scum having just picked up several extremely strong lands in the Mediteranean.
Great game guys.
