No I´m not gone, I was off for holidays.

But I have to commit that this membership thing decreases the fun I had so far. I´m not sure to become a member as I don´t like the changes (whispering just for members although whipering is an essential tactical tool).

I think there are enough bugs to fix first before developing memberships.

other than the whisper thing, at the moment there's no difference between being a member or not.

if EVERYONE were a member would that be less fun than if NO ONE was?

i don't see the issue. if there is a real one, please explain.

The membership thing hasn't changed the game for me at all so far. However, I will agree that there are some bugs that should be fixed before advanced member updates are released.

Whispering is especially important for noobs as they may want to ask discretly for peace.

But especially beginners just want to play the game instead of going for a membership. And with the major bugs why become a member?

In my opinion taking away the whipsering decreases the attraction of the game which is counterproductive to gaining a large community.

I've played with a number of new players, and whispering to them and getting them to ask how do I whisper and having them join, I've seen them alot more.

Now what is unappealling to a new player is alias's. They join as joe1 one day, then the next day join as bob2. They play with the same people, but noone talks to them because noone knows their alias. So they have no relation or connection to the game. I've played with new players who constantly change their name because they think their new name will be better, and earn more respect. They just stop playing sooner or later though.

While, if they're pushed or moved to make accounts, they have something here. They have a name that will earn respect or hate.

I would suggest adding more to the memberships. As I've stated before, I personally believe this game would be much better with benefits to people who donate. No ads and a damned ranking system for starts. (broken record here).

One thing really antisocial is that non-members ip numbers are open to view for all members. its of no use for the game. Sad development this game made.

Funny thread, you can imagine the foul abuse RIPPE was throwing out.
