Squeeg mentioned a good east-west map. I think it's hard to find good east-west maps, because you often have a land bordering Poland in the east, or England in the west. And these lands are needed by UK/Russia to take part in the battle in central Europe. People don't like maps where team mates have to pass right next to the capital. Nevertheless, I think we should try it more often. Trans should be playable, and also Brittany/Normandy.

The same goes for Macedonia and Provence. Serbia and Bulgaria may be good options, although they'll have to let Turkey pass through Mac. Ile de France may be good, but it'll often have to let Spain pass through Prov.

Bulgaria is not good.
It has to give up Byzantium and Macedonia. The others could work though.

The problem with Greece is that it only has 3 countries next to its capital which can make it weak if it can't use the advantage of 1 step to Macedonia.
