Solving Shockwave Problems

Many of the problems users are experiencing have to do with the 11.5 release of Shockwave that Adobe recently released. If you have not already updated to 11.5, we recommend that you do not update Shockwave to 11.5, but only 11.0.3 for the time being. UPDATE (February 2010): The latest Shockwave plugin (11.5.6r606) for Windows seems to fix whatever problems that were in the previous 11.5 plugins. Unfortunately it does not fix the issues for Mac OS X. Mac users should stick with 11.0.3.

Windows

Either Shockwave 11.0.3 (available below) or 11.5.6r606 (available at Adobe) is recommended in Firefox or Internet Explorer. Do not use any version of 11.5 before 11.5.6r606 on Windows.

Mac OS X

Shockwave 11.0.3 (available below) is recommended in Safari. As of February 2010, the current version of Adobe Shockwave for Mac (11.5.6r606) does not work. Firefox is not recommended: Shockwave does not render images correctly in Firefox and you may see black or white boxes.

Recommended Procedure for Installing Shockwave 11.0.3

1. Uninstall Shockwave. If you have the uninstaller that came with the install download use that. If you don't have an uninstaller, try Getting one here
2. Reboot
3. Download the full installer for Shockwave 11.0.3
• Windows
• Mac OS X
4. You should then be prompted to restart your browser, after which point try the game again.
