You will need to launch your browser in "Rosetta" emulation mode. Get info on your browser (Safari or Firefox), and select the box for Rosetta and restart your browser.

No, sorry. Not unless Adobe releases a Shockwave player for Linux.

At some point there *could* be a Flash, or even Javascript/HTML-based game interface though...

Would a downloadable .exe be able to run in Wine?
Is that sort of thing even feasible?

Good news for Windows users!

The latest version (11.5.6) of the Shockwave plugin for Windows fixes the issues that were causing problems in earlier 11.5 versions.

The game will take you to the download page if you need to install it.

Mac users are still out of luck, as the 11.5.6 version for Mac was not fixed by Adobe. The 11.0.3 version, however, still works. For more info see [www.conquerorgame.com]

Also note that Firefox causes problems on the Mac. Safari is the recommended browser for Mac users.

I installed 11.5.6 to find exactly the same problems I've always had with the latest version - freezes on the first turn.

Maybe some testing before the next announcement?

I have not had that problem, and I have tested extensively.

If you make a large donation, perhaps I can look into hiring some testers?
